The Bagman (Secretary):
Pete is a founder member of Oakworth Village Morris Men and is the main reason we exist. He was the one who suggested to do morris dancing as part of the Candlelight Cabaret back in 1981, see our History page for more details. Pete left the side in the late 80's / early 90's due to injury but has now returned. Pete is the Secretary of the Club and the main contact for bookings. |

The Squire:
Richard is the only founder member remaining with the team and has been dancing for over 25 years. As Squire of the side, Richard is the figure head and leader of the team. He is responsible for directing the team when they are out performing. |

The Treasurer:
Nigel joined Oakworth in 1994 and passed on the role of Bagman in 2008 but has kept hold of the money as Treasurer of the side. |

The Foreman & Webmaster:
Mark joined the team at the end of 1984 at the grand old age of 12. He has been Squire on two occassions with a total of 11 years in the position and stood down in 2006. Mark celebrates his 25th Anniversary this year, first stepping out in kit on Easter Monday 1985. There'll be a few drinks downed this Easter Monday 2010 in celebration! Voted in as Foreman of the side taking over from his father (see above). He's now responsible for the way the team dance. "Don't worry I'll soon have them whipped in to shape!". Mark dances and is also one of the teams musicians playing the melodeon. He can sometimes be seen doing both at the same time (see pic)! |
